More past: Barcelonaaaaaa

7 oktober 2016 - Datong, China

Upon my arrival Blanca (one of the Spanish girls I met in Casablanca) was waiting for me. She showed me around and took me to her friends place, where we could stay for the night. It was so nice to see her again! I was pleasantly surprised by the talking and laughter of people on the terasses outside, drinking wine or beer and having a good time together. It felt good to be back in Europe and I realized I had adjusted a lot to the Moroccan way of life in the past two months.

We went out dancing all night and I was very much enjoying the European ways. It's strange how I didn't find Europe very special when I left, but how much I loooove Europe now! Le Merce - an important Spanish holiday - made my stay even more spectacular.

Day 56 - Castelldefels
Castelldefels equals relaxation :) Beach, sangria and (salsa)dancing were the words for today. The apartment and the where I was couchsurfing were the best! Renzo somehow managed to keep me up dancing all night, despite my 2-hour sleep the night before.

Day 57 - Back to BCN
After breakfast a 25-minute trainride brought me back to Barcelona. There I had lunch with my moms cousin and her friend, who were here on vacation. Very good to see them! We only wished my mom could have filled the empty chair at our table <3 At night I went couchsurfing (at another guy's place) and though we had a nice evening and watched the fireworks (because of the festival), it was not the best experience, so I left the next morning instead of staying for another night. Let's just say that guy is not worth more words in this blog ;)

Day 58 - Sept 26
My breakfast BY MYSELF made me feel a little bit better. After I checked in to my hostel and had a coffee and chocolatdonut with Harry (I met him the first night here) I felt way better. Still, when we went out for drinks and dancing in the evening (that's wat Barcelona is about mainly ;)) I started crying because of all the stress I experienced during the first 2 months of my trip. Travelling is an adventure, most of the time a lot of fun and totally worth it. But there will always be 'bad' days. I just try to remember that good times will ALWAYS follow :)

Day 59
This morning Harry introduced me to the delicious Indian tea and samosa. We drank a lot last night, but the Spanish hangovers are not too bad. I start to realize I miss Morocco a lot, including the friends I left behind. It feels like I left Morocco weeks ago, instead of 3 days..

I spent the afternoon doing laundry, watching a movie and enjoying the beach.

Someone asked me to which age I wanted to return if I had the choice, and my conclusion is honestly: the current age of 26 feels perfect :)

Day 60 - Tarragona, the Roman city
Renzo took me for a delicious paella montanosa and then brought me to the trainstation. Because: I'm visiting Blanca in Tarragona today! She showed me her beautiful hometown, which is built on top of a Roman city. Some houses are a mixture of the old and new parts, it is amazing! The nice day with Blanca made me return to Castelldefels satisfies. All the busy days and travelling are starting to make me feel psysically exhausted. I finished the day with a walk along the beach and a sangria together with another girl who arrived at my host's place.

Meanwhile I started to get nervous about my trip to China. In less than 11 hours I'll be on the plane! What am I nervous about? A million things can go wrong, obviously. It's mostly the unknown. But I'm trying to relax and laugh about it :D

Day 61 - China, here I come!!
Oh my god, I'm leaving Barcelona for Beijing! Waiting at the gate I couldn't stop laughing, because I was the only not-Chinese person and only one Chinese girl was almost as tall as me. These people are so funny and friendly, I love it!

It's actually not my fault these stories are a bit late. I planned on spending my time on the plane well and write my blog, but I couldn't use my phone. Helaas pindacheese!

See you in China :D
