The past: Our last days in Morocco

7 oktober 2016 - Datong, China

Day 50
Since it has been very sunny every day we decided to get a suntan at the beach. Unfortunately very soon we were literally covered by clouds. During our daily coffee we met a girl staying in a better hotel than we were. We love basic but this one really made us feel like we were living in a cave. Our daily food&beverage routine (with falafel and kebab for lunch and diner; and wine on the rooftopterrace in the evenings) continued. After the wine we saw a very cozy 'live music' bar and our adventurous nature made us believe it would be a good idea to go in. It wasn't. We were the only ones and after a while a random guy came in to play some music. Luckily Anne's playingcards saved us sort of from a loooong awkward time. Thanks An!

Day 51 - Zonzeestrand
Today it was sunny again so we went to burn at the beach. All - day - long :D We learnt our lesson and went to bed early.

Day 52 - Op 1 na ergste busrit ooit
Today was one of 'those' days. Yesterday we bought our busticket to Rabat, to visit Taha and Flavie.. again :) When arriving at the busstation early in the morning, it was about to leave without us. They wanted us to get in, and although we didn't really trust it, we had no choice but to get in. People were screaming and fighting a lot and never smiling. It was hot hot hot but there was a lot of discussion about whether to open the only window or not. It seemed to be a very difficult thing, like all things. No-one ever told us if and when and for how long we were going to stop. All we knew was that we stopped every minute the first hour, and that it was definitely NOT the fast bus as they promised us. So after a 9-hour busride, instead of 6 hours, we arrived wrecked at my second home, where my friends, a shower, a quiet city and some wine were waiting for us <3

Day 53 - Rabat
Today we went sightseeing in Rabat. We had the best ending of the day with a karaoke-duet of Sia's Cheap Thrills. I will forever hear us sing when listening to the song. And I'm not sure if that's a good thing ;)

Day 54 - Casablanca
Today we took the train to Casablanca, to find out it's not allowed for hotels or stations to store backpacks for a day.. So luckily a very nice Italien guy I met in Rabat took us to his flat to store the bags, and to a good fishrestaurant at the port. Thanks to Matteo! Of course we went to see the famous mosque and we tried to walk to the corniche-boulevard but after a very very long walk we took a taxi back and enjoyed a coffee before our taxiride to our hostfamily. Unfortunately most of them went away for a wedding, but it felt still good to be there again :) We got to eat the sheep they sacrified the week before, great honour! And sorry again for not mentioning the vegetarian part ;)

Day 55
Oeff, while sitting on the airport waiting to say goodbye to Stella and flying off to Spain I start to get nervous. Because, despite the fact that I've been away for almost two months now (time flies), it feels like the real beginning of my trip.

En aan je foto's te zien heb je daar duidelijk ook je draai gevonden. Hoop voor je dat het lesgeven ook gaat lukken.
